ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In the reproduction of pictures, and in particular the stereo- scopic reproduction of x-ray pictures on a picture screen, two electrical picture signals which are displaced in time rela- tive to each other are produced from picture elements recorded by means of a television camera, one of the two picture signals being reversed from positive to negative or from negative to positive. Those of the reversed picture signals which produce sharp contours in the picture are filtered out, and the resul- ting picture signals are brought together again in their time displaced mode and the picture signals resulting from the superimposition of the combined picture signals are transformed on the picture screen into picture elements.
