A B S T R A C T The invention concerns a process for storage of a liquefied gas which is discharged exclusively in a gaseous form into an atmosphere whose pressure is less than the storage pressure. There is disposed in the storage chamber conjointly with the liquefied stored gas, a minimum quantity of a fibrous adsorbant support the diameter of the fibers being equal to at most 25 microns. The process is applicable to the storage of liquefied gas.
