ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a special injection grout for the storage in the ground of radioactive waste. This grout contains 1000 parts by weight of water, 40 to 400 parts by weight of cement, 80 to 1000 parts by weight of at least one clay chosen from the group including montmorillonite, illite and vermiculite and 25 to 1200 parts by weight of kieselguhr and/or natural or artificial pozzuolanas. For the purpose of storing radioactive waste, the conditioned waste, isolated by at least one retention barrier is placed in a cavity in the ground and then the grout is injected into gaps in that part of the ground area surrounding the cavity.
