PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un bromure RF Br où RF désigne un radical perfluoroalkyle, linéaire ou ramifié, contenant 2 à 14 atomes de carbone, par photobromation de l'iodure de perfluoroalkyle RFI correspondant, caractérisé en ce que l'on soumet à la photobromation une solution de RFI dans un solvant, la concentration en RFI de ladite solution étant au plus égal à 0,5 mole/litre. Ce procédé est notamment utile pour la synthèse du bromure de n.perfluorooctyle, du bromure de n.perfluorohexyle ou d'un mélange de bromures de perfluoroalkyle.
