ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for synthesizing single crystalline beryl out of a molten salt, and more particularly a pro- cess for obtaining superior quality single crystalline beryl economically and at a high yielding rate involves synthesizing single crystalline beryl in precedence of other minerals capable of growth by subjecting the molten salt to particular heating procedures in the process of synthesizing single crystalline beryl. A process for improving the yield and quality of the beryl by a par- ticular combination of fluxes is also taught.
