Process for the bleaching of paper pulp in which an aqueous suspension of paper pulp is subjected to a bleaching treatment with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of magnesium hydroxide and of at least one poly-.alpha.-hydroxyacrylic acid, its salt or their mixture.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de blanchiment de la pâte à papier. Le procédé consiste à soumettre une suspension aqueuse de pâte à papier à un traitement de blanchiment par peroxyde d'hydrogène en présence d'hydroxyde de magnésium et d'au moins un acide poly-a-hydroxyacrylique, son sel ou leur mélange.
