ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process and reagent for carrying out enzymatic determinations in which NAD(P)H is formed and intermediate products and non-specifically-reacting disturbing substances are removed in a preliminary reaction, during which, there is simultaneously carried out an NAD(P)H-consuming enzymatic reaction which completely oxidises the NAD(P)H formed to give NAD(P); the NAD(P)H-consuming reaction is stopped at the start of the measurement reaction.
