A process for production of higher linear alpha olefins and/or alkyl-branched alpha olefins, which comprises the co-oligomerisation of one or more alpha olefins with ethylene in the presence of a metal catalyst system employing one or more bis-aryliminepyridine MXa complexes and/or one or more [bis- aryliminepyridine MYP.Lb+ ] [NC-]q complexes; and said process is carried out at an ethylene pressure of less than 2.5 MPa.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'alpha-oléfines linéaires supérieures et/ou d'alpha-oléfines ramifiées alkyles. Ce procédé consiste à co-oligomériser une ou plusieurs alpha-oléfines avec de l'éthylène, en présence d'un système catalyseur métallique utilisant un ou plusieurs complexes bis-aryliminepyridine MX¿a? et/ou un ou plusieurs [bis-aryliminepyridine MY¿P?.L¿b??+¿ ] [NC?-¿]¿q?, ledit procédé étant mis en oeuvre à une pression d'éthylène inférieure à 2,5 MPa.
