AKZ 1885 B ABSTRACT In the combined production of chlorinated hydrocarbons by oxychlorina- tion of olefins in liquid phase and a carbonate of an alkali Metal by carbonatation of an alkali metal chloride use is made of an aliphatic amine as a chlor-transferring agent in recycle operation. The amine should have hydrogen-free carbon atoms in the .alpha.-position and exhibit a specified low decomposition rate. The preferred amine is t-butyl amine.
