The invention relates to a process for the combined treatment of waste materials of two types A and B, A being waste material having a relatively high energy content and B being a water containing waste material having a relatively low energy content, said process comprising the following steps: 1) pyrolyzing (2) material A to produce a gas and/or oil (4) and a carbonaceous residue (3), 2) mixing (11) said carbonaceous residue with B to form a water containing mixture C, 3) shaping (12) said mixture C into individual pieces, 4) drying and baking (13) said pieces to ceramic bodies (15), wherein in step 2, the carbonaceous residue (3) is used in such an amount that less than about 80 % of the totally required baking energy is contained in mixture C.

L'invention porte sur un procédé pour le traitement combiné de matières résiduelles de types A et B; A est une matière résiduelle possédant une teneur en énergie relativement élevée; B est une matière résiduelle renfermant de l'eau, à teneur en énergie relativement faible. Le procédé comporte les étapes suivantes : 1) pyrolyse (2) de la matière A pour former un gaz et (ou) une huile (4) et un résidu carbonacé (3); 2) mélange (11) du résidu carbonacé avec B pour former un mélange C renfermant de l'eau; 3) séparation (12) de ce mélange C en fractions individuelles; 4) séchage et cuisson (13) de ces fractions en corps céramiques (15); dans l'étape 2, le résidu carbonacé (3) est utilisé en quantité telle que moins d'environ 80 % de l'énergie totale de cuisson requise est contenue dans le mélange C.
