Abstract of the disclosure: Process for the continuous dyeing of textile sheet-like structures made of cellulose fibers, and mixtures thereof with synthetic fibers, with sulfur dyestuffs by a pad-warm dwell method, the web-like material being padded with an aque- ous liquor, at room temperature, which contains one or more of these dyestuffs in the reduced form (leuco form) and aqueous sodium polysulfide solution as an additive, wherein the padded material is introduced continuously, without inter- mediate drying, into a dwelling chamber which is heated exclu- sively with hot air, is exposed therein to the action of heat, during passage in the pleated state, for 1 - 10 minutes at temperatures from 80 - 98° C or for 10 to 60 seconds at tem- peratures from 110 - 220°C, thereafter is removed again conti- nuously from the dwelling chamber and finally, in order to form the water-insoluble disulfide form of the dyestuffs, is subjected to the customary reoxidation and passed through an after-treatment.
