PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention vise un procédé d'oxydation en continu du propylène en phase liquide par l'oxygène moléculaire. Le procédé consiste à effectuer l'oxydation en présence d'un solvant insoluble dans l'eau et peu miscible à l'acide formique, condenser les produits entraînés par les gaz de réaction, à injec- ter de 0 à 5 kg d'eau par m3 (T.P.N) d'oxygène moléculaire dans les produits condensés, à séparer la phase organique de la phase aqueuse contenant les acides, à recycler la phase organique dans la zone réactionnelle et à soutirer de ladite zone l'oxyde de propylène. Le procédé permet une bonne sélectivité en oxyde de propylène.
