The invention concerns a process for the customised production of dental prosthetic articles and dental treatment using those articles. This involves, first, taking an initial impression of the jaw to be treated including the checkbite and preparation of a highly accurate model, followed by grinding on the model of the teeth requiring treatment. The model in the resulting state is then stored by optical and/or mechanical scanning of the geometrical configuration. The dental article is then prepared in the known way. Grinding and preparation of the teeth in the jaw under treatment is then done using the stored data relating to the prepared state of the model, the grinding being done with a numerically controlled grinding and burring device placed inside or at the patient's mouth. The prosthetic element can then be fitted and cemented in place as soon as this grinding operation is completed.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication "sur mesure" d'articles prothétiques dentaires et un procédé de soins dentaires au moyen desdits articles. On prend tout d'abord une empreinte de la mâchoire à soigner, à l'état initial, avec prise d'occlusion et réalisation d'un modèle de planification de grande précision, puis on meule les dents à soigner sur le modèle de planification. L'état du modèle préparé ainsi obtenu est stocké en mémoire de façon appropriée par balayage optique et/ou mécanique de la configuration géométrique prédéterminée. Ensuite, on réalise, de façon connue en soi, un article dentaire. Le meulage et la préparation des dents sont réalisés dans la mâchoire à soigner sur la base des données mises en mémoire de l'état du modèle de planification. Ce meulage est effectué au moyen d'un dispositif de fraisage ou de meulage à commande numérique, fixé dans ou sur la cavité buccale du patient. Aussitôt après polissage, l'article prothétique dentaire peut être posé et cimenté.
