The process starts with the digitalization and processing of the images to be reproduced on the ceramic piece, said images having been obtained for example from a photography. The process proceeds with a lamination and photo-exposure phase by means of photolyte and which can be carried out in a single step, for monochromatic decorations, or several times for polychromatic (quadrichromy) decorations, specifically one operation for each color used. Further, a transport solution is applied for example with a serigraphic screen. After implantation of the image on the ceramic piece and drying thereof, the latter is placed in a furnace at high temperature, approximately 1 050 ~C.

On commence par la numérisation et le traitement d'images à reproduire sur la pièce céramique, obtenues par exemple à partir d'une photographie, puis on passe à la phase de stratification et de photo-exposition au moyen d'un photolyte que l'on peut effectuer en une seule opération pour des décorations monochromatiques ou en plusieurs opérations pour des décorations polychromatiques (quadrichromie), plus particulièrement il faut compter une phase pour chaque couleur utilisée. Ensuite, on applique une solution de transport, par exemple à l'aide d'un écran sérigraphique et après l'impression de l'image sur la pièce céramique, on la sèche, on la chauffe à une température de l'ordre de 1.050 ·C.
