A process is disclosed for detecting states of shock and for following the therapy of state of shock patients. For that purpose, the cyclophiline concentration in the patient's blood is determined by (a) enzymological methods, (b) immunological detection methods by means of specific antibodies, (c) peptidic chemical methods, (d) radiochemical methods, and is used to evaluate the severity of the state of shock. Also disclosed is the use of medicaments, biological active substances and physicochemical methods that reduce active cyclophiline concentration in the blood of state of shock patients for the therapy of states of shock, in particular septic shock, post- operative shock and toxic shock.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de dépister des états de choc et de surveiller le traitement de patients en état de choc. A cet effet, on détermine la concentration en cyclophilines dans le sang du patient par (a) des méthodes enzymologiques; (b) des méthodes immunologiques de dépistage qui utilisent des anticorps spécifiques; (c) des méthods peptido-chimiques; (d) des méthodes radiochimiques. La concentration en cyclophilines sert à déterminer la gravité du choc. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de médicaments, de principes actifs biologiques et de méthodes physico-chimiques qui réduisent la concentration en cyclophilines actives dans le sang d'un patient en état de choc, pour traiter des états de choc, notamment de choc septique, de choc postopératoire et de choc toxique.
