Process for producing a copper-containing aqueous solution, in which a copper mass is dissolved in the presence of an oxidant in an aqueous leach liquor containing monoethanolamine and (HMEA)2CO3. The leach liquor is produced by partially carbonating the monoethanolamine.

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'une solution aqueuse contenant du cuivre, selon lequel une masse de cuivre est dissoute en présence d'un oxydant dans une liqueur lixiviante aqueuse qui contient de la monoéthanolamine et du (HMEA)¿2?CO¿3?. Ladite liqueur lixiviante est produite par carbonatation partielle de la monoéthanolamine.
