The process comprises (A) obtaining N-acetylcysteine form L-cystine, through the following steps: (i) acetylation of L-cystine in order to produce N- acetylcystine; (ii) electroreduction and desalination by electrodialysis of N- acetylcystine thus produced in order to obtain N-acetylcysteine; (B) obtaining N-acetylcysteine from L-cystine, through the following steps: (i) acetylation and desalination of L-cystine in order to produce N-acetylcystine; (ii) electroreduction of N-acetylcystine proceeding or not from prior step (i), in order to produce N-acetylcysteine; (C) obtaining N-acetylcysteine from L- cystine through the following steps: (i) electroreduction of L-cystine in order to produce L-cysteine; (ii) acetylation and desalination by electrodialysis of L-cysteine, proceeding or not from prior step (i), in order to produce N-acetylcysteine. N-acetylcysteine thus obtained has important applications in the pharmaceutical sector.

Le procédé comprend: (A) l'obtention de N-actétylcystéine à partie de L-cystine, à travers les étapes suivantes: (i) acétylation de L-cystine afin de produire N-acétylcystine; (ii) électroréduction et dessalement par électrodialyse de N-acétylcystine ainsi produite pour donner N-acétylcystéine; (B) obtention de N-acétylcystéine à partir de L-cystine au moyen des étapes suivantes: (i) acétylation et dessalement de L-cystine pour produire N-acétylcystine; (ii) électroréduction de N-acétylcystine provenant ou non de l'étape antérieure (i) pour produire N-acétylcystéine; (c) obtention de N-acétylcystéine à partir de L-cystine au moyen des étapes suivantes: (i) électroréduction de L-cystine pour produire L-cystéine; (ii) acétylation et dessalement par électrodialyse de L-cystéine, provenant ou non de l'étape antérieure (i) afin de produire N-acétylcystéine. N-acétylcystéine ainsi obtenue a d'importantes applications dans le secteur pharmaceutique.
