L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de résine vinylaromatique choc par polymérisation radicalaire en milieu solvant inerte d'un monomère vinylaromatique en présence d'un polybutadiène. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que l'on polymérise anioniquement du butadiène dans un solvant inerte vis-à-vis du butadiène et du monomère vinylaromatique puis après destruction du catalyseur anionique, on initie, après ajout de monomère vinylaroma- tique dans le milieu, la polymérisation radicalaire. Ce procédé permet de pallier aux inconvénient des procédés connus.
