Horn ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION An improvement in the method of leaching metals from their sulfide ores with ferric chloride which comprises leaching the metal sulfide concentrate at a temperature from slightly above the boiling temperature of the leach liquor at ambient conditions to slightly below the melting point of sulfur to increase the dissolving effectiveness and reaction rate, and the filtering rate of the leach solution.
