The invention relates to a process for the hydrogenation of phenyl acetylene in a styrene-containing medium with the aid of a supported nickel catalyst with a nickel content of 10-25 wt.%. This process is by preference used for the hydrogenation of phenyl acetylene in a styrene-containing medium which contains more than 30 wt.% of styrene.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'hydrogénation d'acétylène de phényle dans un milieu contenant du styrène, au moyen d'un catalyseur à base de nickel sur support, la teneur du nickel étant de 10 à 25 % en poids. Ce procédé est utilisé, de préférence, pour hydrogéner un acétylène de phényle dans un milieu contenant du styrène d'une teneur supérieure à 30 % en poids.
