ABSTRACT Process for the immortalization of human and animal cells The present invention provides a process for the immortilization of human or animal cells by fusion with a fragment not capable of multiplying of a permanently culturable cell and culturing thereof in a culture medium without selection substances, wherein DNA obtained from the cytoplasm of a permanently culturable human or animal cell is transfected into the cell to be immortalized.
