ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a process for the improvement of the efficiency of in vitro tissue cultivating propagation of cultivated plants which comprises treating the plants during micro-propagation and/or subsequent planting with an aqueous solution containing 1-100 mg./l. of one or more compound(s) of the formula I Image (I) wherein R stands for methyl, chloromethyl, dichloromethyl or trichloromethyl: R1 and R2 can be the same or different and stand for C1-10 alkyl, C2-10 alkenyl, 3-9 cycloalkyl, phenyl or benzyl; or hydrogen with the proviso that at least one of the symbol(s) R1 and R2 is (are) other than hydrogen; or R1 and R2 form together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached a 5 to 8- membered saturated heterocyclic ring which may contain one, two or three identical or different further heteroatom(s), preferably oxygen or nitrogen atom(s); or one or more compound/s/ of the formula /II/, Image (II), wherein R is as defined at formula (I) and n is an integer between 1 and 8.
