ABSTRACT PROCESS FOR THE ISOLATION OF 1,4,7,10,13,16- HEXAOXACYCLOOCTADECANE Process for isolating 1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaoxacyclooc- tadecane (A) in high yield from a mixture also containing other macrocyclic polyethers, by reacting A with nitromethane in the presence of a solvent for these macrocyclic polyethers, to precipitate a complex of A and nitromethane, separating the complex from the reaction mixture and dissociating the separated complex into A and nitromethane.
