A process for making anhydrous Terazosin Hydrochloride comprising the steps of: (a) suspending Terazosin base in n-butanol; (b) adding concentrated aqueous HCl, 1 molar equivalent per molar equivalent of Terazosin base; (c) heating the suspension to a temperature between about 40°C to about 70°C; and (d) cooling the mixture and recovering the desired anhydrous Terazosin Hydrochloride.
Procédé de fabrication de chlorhydrate de térazosine anhydre comprenant les étapes suivantes : (a) mise en suspension de base de térazosine dans du n-butanol; (b) addition de HCl concentré aqueux, à raison de 1 équivalent molaire par équivalent molaire de base de térazosine ; (c) chauffage de la suspension à une température variant entre environ 40 degrés C et environ 70 degrés C; et (d) refroidissement du mélange et récupération du chlorhydrate de térazosine anhydre recherché.
