The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a shaped part comprising the steps of - forming a stack by stacking (2) or more sheets comprising mono-layers of unidirectional anti-ballistic fibers and a binder followed by placing the stack in a mould, clamping the stack in the mould with a control member closing the mould - consolidating the stack under temperature and pressure into a curved shaped part. The invention furthermore relates to products obtainable with said process, which are very suitable for use in anti-ballistic applications and include e.g. helmets, curved panels, cones and domes.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une pièce mise en forme, comportant les étapes consistant à : former une pile par un empilement (2) de plusieurs feuilles comportant des monocouches de fibres antibalistiques unidirectionnelles et un liant, à placer ensuite la pile dans un moule, à serrer la pile dans le moule à l'aide d'un élément de commande fermant le moule et à consolider la pile sous une température et une pression appropriées en une pièce mise en forme incurvée. L'invention concerne en outre des produits pouvant être obtenus par ledit procédé, qui conviennent particulièrement pour une utilisation dans des applications antibalistiques et comprennent par ex. des casques, des panneaux incurvés, des cônes et des dômes.
