A process for the manufacture of a stain resistant carpet by melt mixing a fiber forming synthetic polyamide with a compound, being capable to react with an amino group, to form a homogeneous polymer melt into fibers, tufting the fibers into a backing to form a carpet and treating the carpet with polymethacrylic acid, copolymers of polymethacrylic acid, a mixture of polymethacrylic acid and a sulfonated aromatic formaldehyde condensation product, and a reaction product of the polymerization or copolymerization of methacrylic acid in the presence of a sulfonated aromatic formaldehyde condensation product.
Divulgation d'un processus de fabrication d'un tapis résistant aux taches comportant les étapes suivantes : mélange à chaud d'un polyamide synthétique textile avec un composé capable de réagir avec un groupement amino et ainsi produire un polymère homogène fondu qui sera ensuite filé; touffetage des fibres obtenues sur un dossier pour former un tapis; et traiter le tapis avec un acide polyméthacrylique, des copolymères d'acide polyméthacrylique, un mélange d'acide polyméthacrylique et un produit de la condensation du formaldéhyde aromatique sulfoné, et un produit de la réaction de la polymérisation de l'acide méthacrylique en présence d'un produit de la condensation du formaldéhyde aromatique sulfoné.
