ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Compounds of the formula Image wherein Ar1 denotes an optionally substituted phenyl or pyrazinyl radical, or a substituted pyridyl or an unsubsti- tuted pyrimidinyl radical, Ar2 denotes a substituted phenyl, pyridyl or pyrazinyl radical or an unsubstituted pyrimi- dinyl radical, and Alk denotes lower alkylene which separates the nitrogen atom from the oxygen atom by at least two carbon atoms, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof exhibit .beta.-receptor-blocking, blood pressure-lowering and vasodila- tory effects and are useful for example in the treatment of arrythmias and angina pectoris, and as blood pressure-lowering agents.
