GE-2003 TITLE PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF FLUORESCENT SCREENS FOR CATHODE RAY TUBES ABSTRACT Process for manufacture of fluorescent screens for cathode ray tubes in which fluorescent pigment patterns formed on the screen, e.g., glass, are fixed by exposing the patterns repeatedly, e.g., at least two times, at a temperature below 300°C alternatively to an atmosphere which contains a hydrolysis-sensitive gaseous silicon compound and an atmosphere which contains water vapor. The process is especially useful in making color TV picture tubes.
