The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a molding comprising the steps of a) preparing an aqueous solution comprising a water-soluble prepolymer having crosslinkable groups and a further polymer which is devoid of crosslinkable groups, b) introducing the solution obtained into a mold, c) triggering the crosslinking, and d) opening the mold such that the molding can be removed from the mold. According to the process of the invention moldings such as contact lenses may be manufactured with an improved quality and an improved overall yield.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un moulage consistant à : a) préparer une solution aqueuse composée d'un prépolymère soluble dans l'eau possédant des groupes réticulables et d'un autre polymère dépourvu de groupes réticulables, b) introduire la solution obtenue dans un moule, c) déclencher la réticulation et d) ouvrir le moule de manière à pouvoir retirer le moulage du moule. Le procédé de la présente invention permet de produire des moulages tels que des lentilles de contact, de meilleure qualité et à un meilleur rendement global.
