Abstract of the Disclosure The process comprises application of high pressures and temperatures to a charge containing boron nitride and high-melting compounds such as titanium nitride or titanium carbonitride with a particle size ranging from 50 to 1,000 .ANG.. The process according to the present invention can be employed in the manufacture of superhard materials useful in the production of tools for machining hardly processable alloys.
