The present invention provides a process for the manufacture of printed orthopedic casting tapes. A knit, open mesh fibrous tape having elastic filaments extending in the length direction is stretched in a predetermined amount and a pattern is printed onto the stretched fibrous tape using a low temperature drying ink. The printed tape is thereafter passed through a drying zone maintained at a temperature of less than about 100 ~C while the tape is maintained in the stretched condition. The printed tape is thereafter allowed to relax and is subsequently coated with a hardenable liquid resin.
L'invention concerne un procédé servant à fabriquer des bandes plâtrées orthopédiques imprimées. On étire une bande tricotée fibreuse à mailles ouvertes pourvue de filaments élastiques s'étendant dans le sens de la longueur, selon un niveau d'étirement prédéterminé et on imprime un motif sur la bande fibreuse étirée au moyen d'une encre séchant à basse température. On fait passer ensuite la bande imprimée à travers une zone de séchage maintenue à une température inférieure à 100 ·C, tandis qu'on conserve l'étirement de la bande. On laisse ensuite la bande imprimée se relâcher et on la revêt d'une résine liquide durcissante.
