ABSTRACT Novel urea derivatives of the formula Image Ia in which R1a represents halogen, trifluoromethyl, nitro or lower alkoxy, R2a represents hydrogen, halogen, trifluoromethyl, nitro or lower alkoxy and R8a represents hydrogen, halogen or trifluoromethyl, R1a , R2a and R8a being in the meta-position or para-position relative to the residue Ra; and wherein, further- more, Ra represents a group of the formula Image or Image (a) (ba) wherein R3 represents lower alkyl especially methyl, Xa represents oxygen or imino, R4a represents lower alkyl and R5a represents hydrogen or lower alkyl, with the proviso that where Ra signifies the group (ba), then the residue Image either signifies (A) one of the groups Image and R5a represents hydrogen or C2-C2 alkyl; or (B) the group Image and Xa is oxygen and R4a and R5a are both methyl. The new compounds have antiandrogenic properties and some have schistosomicidal properties and are thus useful in medicine.
