This invention describes a process achieving tangential microfiltration of beer, characterized in that the beer goes through a thin membrane, possibly supported, the total permeability of which, as measured in its pristine state, is greater than 6 * 10-11 m3 /m2, and the porosity of which varies between 2.5 and 5 mm. It is applicable to industrial filtration of beer originating from a fermentation reactor or beer that can be conserved.
