In order to transform the dejections into dry and sterile residues, these materials are subjected to micro-wave radiations in a treatment unit (6). A solid/liquid separator (3) may be incorporated up-stream of the treatment unit. The circuit for evacuating liquids is comprised of an evaporation vat (25), a steam recovery circuit (28), a condensation vat (11) and a recycling circuit (17, 18, 19) for the condensation water.

ABREGE DESCRIPTIF - L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement des déjec- tions humaines ou animales par micro-ondes, caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à soumettre au moins les parties solides des déjections à traiter à une irradiation par micro-ondes dans des conditions contrôlées en sorte qu'en fin de traitement desdites parties celles-ci aient atteint un degré de dessication prédéterminé. L' invention concerne également des dispositifs pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé. - L'invention s'applique au traitement des déjections humaines et animales. FIGURE 1
