- 15 - ABSTRACT PROCESS FOR THE OXIDATION OF FERROUS IONS TO THE FERRIC STATE IN SULFATE LEACH SOLUTIONS An improvement in a process for selectively remo- ving iron in a ferric state from a sulfate leach solution is disclosed. The improvement comprises selectively oxidi- zing ferrous ions present in the solution to the ferric sta- te by adding an essentially stoichiometric amount of a pero- xosulfuric compound to the solution.
