PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L' invention concerne un procédé de préparation du N(dichlorophosphoryl)trichlorophosphazène (P2NOC15) comprenant la réaction de pentachlorure de phosphore avec du chlorure d'ammonium pour obtenir un milieu réactionnel contenant du P3NCl12 et la décomposition du P3NCl12 contenu dans ledit milieu réactionnel en présence d'un donneur d'oxygène pour produire le N(dichlorophospho- ryl)trichlorophosphazène caractérisé en ce que plus de 50% en poids des particules de chlorure d'ammonium ont une granulométrie inférieure à 0,16 mm. Ce procédé permet d'effectuer la réaction avec un rendement brut très élevé et d'obtenir un produit ne renfermant qu'une très faible quantité d'oligomères linéaires.
