A B S T R A C T 2,5-disubstituted benzamides of the general formula: Image (I) and their salts of addition with pharmaceutically acceptable mineral or organic acids, and their quaternary ammonium salts, wherein: A is a di-loweralkylamino or a pyrrolidinyl ring of the formula: Image wherein R2 is lower alkyl, and m is 1; R is a lower alkyl or lower alkenyl; R1 is amino. Mono- or diloweralkylamino or lower alkyl, and n is 1 or 2. are prepared by reacting the Corresponding 2,5-disubstituted benzoic acids with an amine in the presence of 2-methyl-2- chloro-1.3,2-dioxophosphorinane. These compounds are well known therapeutic agents.
