The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 1,1,1-trifluoro-2,2-dichloroethane (F123). This process consists in bringing 1,1,1--trifluoro-2-chloroethane (F133a) into contact with chlorine in the presence of hydrogen fluoride and of a fluorination catalyst. The F133a can be obtained by chlorination of trichloroethylene and the F123 can subsequently be fluorinated to F125.
La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation de 1,1,1-trifluoro-2,2- dichloroéthane (F123). Ce procédé consiste à mettre en contact du 1,1,1-trifluoro-2-chloréthane (F133a) avec du chlore en présence d'acide fluorhydrique et d'un catalyseur de la fluoration. Le F133a peut être obtenu par chloration du trichloroéthylène et le F123 peut subséquemment être fluoré pour donner du F125.
