L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un liant à base de bitume et de poudre de caoutchouc, et comportant, en tant qu'additif, une huile lourde ainsi qu'un élastomère synthétique. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que l'on mélange intimement les différents constituants du liant de façon à obtenir un mélange initial, puis on porte ce mélange à une température comprise entre 175 et 185°C, on maintient cette température sous agitation pendant environ deux heures, puis on abaisse la température du mélange de 15 à 20°C et on stocke le liant ainsi obtenu jusqu'à 10 jours sans modification notable de ses propriétés.
