Process for the preparation of a metal-containing composition, which process comprises the steps of (a) calcining a physical mixture of an anionic clay and a metal additive at a temperature between 200 and 800~C, and (b) rehydrating the calcined product of step a). This process allows the use of insoluble metal additives. It does not require the use of soluble metal additives, which has economic and environmental advantages.

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à la préparation d'une composition contenant un métal, ce procédé consistant (a) à calciner un mélange physique composé d'une argile anionique et d'un additif métallique à une température comprise entre 200 et 800 ·C et (b) à réhydrater le produit calciné de l'étape (a). Ce procédé permet d'utiliser des additifs métalliques insolubles. Il ne requiert pas d'additifs métalliques solubles, ce qui constitue à la fois un avantage économique et un avantage environnemental.
