ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for producing a finely divided powder containing a thermoplastic synthetic material, whereby, for the purpose of forming the particles containing the synthetic material, the synthetic material is introduced into a non-aqueous carrier-substance which is fluid within the melting-temperature-range of the said synthetic material, the latter being mixed with the said carrier-substance within the melting-temperature-range, and ground burned lime being also added to this mass, after which an aqueous sludge is added thereto. The reaction between the burned lime and the aqueous sludge converts the said mass into a powder containing synthetic material. Special consideration is given to bitumen as the carrier- substance. The powder may preferably be used to produce a bituminous, synthetic-material-containing a bonding agent for structural materials.
