PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: La présente invention concerne un procédé utile d'un point vue industriel pour la préparation de sels alca- lins de l'acide trifluoroacétique, à l'état anhydre et cristallisé. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que dans une première étape, on neutralise dans un milieu constitué essen- tiellement d'un alcool contenant 3 ou 4 atomes de carbone, de l'acide trifluoroacétique par un agent alcalin, dans une deuxième étape, on élimine l'eau engendrée par la réaction de neutralisation, par distillation azéotropique, dans une troi- sième étape, on sépare les cristaux de trifluoroacétate alca- lin anhydre par addition d'hydrocarbure ne solubilisant pas le trifluoroacétate alcalin et formant un azéotrope avec l'alcool.
