Process for the preparation of anhydrous sodium sulfate from a thenardite ore containing sodium sulfate, comprising: crushing the thenardite ore; lixiviating the crushed ore with water or an exhausted solution at a temperature of about 28 to about 40°C, to obtain a suspension containing a sodium sulfate saturated solution, sludges and insoluble material; separating the sludges and insoluble material from the solution; crystallizing the solution to obtain hydrated sodium sulfate crystals in an exhausted solution; separating the crystals from the exhausted solution; melting the hydrated sodium sulfate crystals to dissolve the sodium sulfate in its own crystallization water obtaining a saturated solution of sodium sulfate; crystallizing the saturated solution to crystallize anhydrous sodium sulfate; and separating and drying the anhydrous sodium sulfate crystals from the exhausted solution.
Méthode pour préparer du sulfate de sodium anhydre à partir de thénardite renfermant du sulfate de sodium. Elle consiste à : broyer la thénardite; lixivier le minerai broyé avec de l'eau ou une solution épuisée à une température d'environ 28 à 40 degrés C, pour obtenir une suspension renfermant une solution saturée de sulfate de sodium, des boues et une matière insoluble; séparer les boues et la matière insoluble de la solution; faire cristalliser la solution pour obtenir les cristaux de sulfate de sodium hydraté dans une solution épuisée; séparer les cristaux de la solution épuisée; faire fondre les cristaux de sulfate de sodium hydraté pour dissoudre le sulfate de sodium dans sa propre eau de cristallisation, ce qui donne une solution saturée de sulfate de sodium; faire cristalliser la solution saturée pour obtenir le sulfate de sodium anhydre cristallisé; séparer de la solution épuisée les cristaux de sulfate de sodium anhydre et les faire sécher.
