A B S T R A C T A PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS AND AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS SO PREPARED Process for the preparation of an aromatic hydrocarbon mixt- ure. A mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen is contacted with a mixture of two catalysts, one of which is capable of catalyzing the conversion of an H2/CO mixture into acyclic oxygen-containing hydrocarbons and the other is a crystalline iron silicate which has a specific X-ray powder diffraction pattern, and an Si02/Fe203 molar ratio from 30 to 50.
