Description

The invention relates to a process for the preparation of ortho-sulfocarboxylic acids of formula (I), which comprises; a) in a first reaction step, diazotising an aromatic ortho-aminosulfonic acid in the presence of an acid and nitrite in water, in an organic solvent or in a mixture thereof, to an ortho-diazonium sulfonate, and, b) in a second reaction step, reacting the ortho-diazonium sulfonate in the presence of a palladium catalyst in water, in an organic solvent or in a mixture thereof, with carbon monoxide, under overpressure, to an aromatic ortho-sulfocarboxylic acid. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of sulfonylureas of formula (II) using ortho-sulfocarboxylic acids as intermediates.

Méthode de préparation d'acides ortho-sulfocarboxyliques de formule (I) comprenant : a) dans une première étape, la diazotation d'un acide aromatique ortho-aminosulfonique en présence d'un acide et d'un nitrite dans l'eau, dans un solvant organique ou dans un mélange de ce dernier, en un sulfonate d'ortho-diazonium; b) dans une seconde étape, la réaction du sulfonate d'ortho-diazonium en présence d'un catalyseur au palladium dans l'eau, dans un solvant organique ou dans un mélange de ce dernier, avec du monoxyde de carbone, sous une surpression, pour former un acide aromatique ortho-aminosulfonique. L'invention porte également sur une méthode de préparation de sulfonylurées de formule (II) utilisant des acides ortho-sulfocarboxyliques comme intermédiaires.
