PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne un procédé pour la préparation des pâtes papetières chimiques en vue de leur blanchiment, du type dans lequel ladite pâte est traitée avec du chlore, puis ensuite au moyen d'un composé oxygéné. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que le prétraitement au chlore est effectué sur une pâte ayant une consistance comprise entre 5 et 15%, à une température comprise entre 50 et 100°C, avec une con- centration en chlore comprise entre 0,5 et 1,5%. L'inven- tion vise donc un procédé qui est économique à mettre en oeuvre, et qui permet d'atteindre un taux de délignifica- tion et une blancheur améliorés.
