Abstract of the Invention Cyclic peptide nuclei, are prepared by the enzymatic deacylation of an appropriate antibiotic using an enzyme produced by the Actinoplanaceae, preferably by Actinoplanes utahensis. The cyclic peptide nuclei and their salts thereof are useful intermediates for the preparation of new semi-synthetic antifungal agents.
