ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Cyclized polydienes devoid of crosslinked fractions are prepared by polymerizing conjugated diolefins in solution in n solvent consisting of a mixture of saturated hydrocarbons with 20-95% by weight, with respect to the mixture, of chlorinated saturated hydrocarbons, in the presence of from 0.1 to 10 moles for each 100 moles of diolefins, of a catalyst of the formula RnA1 C13-n' where R is an alkyl radical with 1-6 carbon atoms and n is from 1 to 1.5. These cyclized polydienes can be used in coating formulations.
