A B S T R A C T Recovery and de-watering of coal particles from an aqueous suspension of coal fines is carried out by agglomerating the coal fines with naphtha followed by separation of the agglomer- ates from water in an axially conveying rotating sieve, the de- watered agglomerates being dried in a fluidized bed, the recovered naphtha being recycled.
