The present invention relates to an integrated process for the preparation in continuous of epoxides which comprises: (a) preparing an alcoholic or hydro- alcoholic solution of hydrogen peroxide in a concentration of over 3 % by weight, using a gaseous stream containing hydrogen, oxygen and an inert gas, in the presence of a bimetallic catalyst based on palladium and platinum as active components; (b) putting the alcoholic or hydro-alcoholic solution of hydrogen peroxide obtained in step (a) in contact with an olefin and a buffering agent, in the presence of an epoxidation catalyst suspended in the reaction solvent, in order to obtain a reaction mixture containing the epoxide corresponding to the olefin, water and the alcoholic solvent; (c) treating the alcoholic stream leaving step (b), after separation of the epoxide, in order to eliminate the nitrogenated compounds present; (d) feeding the alcoholic solvent obtained in (c) to step (a). A part of the solvent obtained in (c) can be used, when necessary, for diluting the hydro-alcoholic solution of hydrogen peroxide obtained in step (a) to the value required by the epoxidation plant. The process operates under high safety conditions and with a high overall efficiency, in terms of productivity and selectivity.
L'invention concerne un processus intégré de préparation continue d'époxydes, qui consiste a) à préparer une solution alcoolique ou hydro-alcoolique de peroxyde d'hydrogène selon une concentration supérieure à 3 % en pds, au moyen d'un flux gazeux contenant de l'hydrogène, de l'oxygène et un gaz inerte, en présence d'un catalyseur bimétallique à base de palladium et de platine comme composants actifs ; b) à mettre la solution alcoolique ou hydro-alcoolique de peroxyde d'hydrogène en contact avec une oléfine et un agent tampon, en présence d'un catalyseur d'époxydation suspendu dans le solvant de réaction, afin d'obtenir un mélange de réaction contenant l'époxyde correspondant à l'oléfine, l'eau et le solvant alcoolique ; c) à traiter le flux alcoolique quittant l'étape b), après séparation de l'époxyde, afin d'éliminer les composants azotés présents ; d) à acheminer à l'étape a) le solvant alcoolique obtenu à l'étape c). Une partie du solvant obtenu à l'étape c) peut être utilisée, si nécessaire, pour diluer la solution hydro-alcoolique de peroxyde d'hydrogène obtenue à l'étape a) à la valeur requise par l'installation d'époxydation. Le processus s'effectue dans des conditions de haute sécurité et est d'une efficacité globale élevée, en termes de productivité et de sélectivité.
